Decoding Mysteries of Christ's Teachings ~ Thy whole body shall be full of light

Unravelling the Mysteries of the Teachings of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ said, "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." This is quoted in the Bible - Mathew 6:22.

THE IN-DEPTH MEANING OF THE WORDS OF CHRIST

Now, there has been multiple interpretations of this teachings, a large percentage of the interpretation has been according to a religious angle. These representations no doubt are divine and right according to the devotion, faith and good spirit of the interpreter, but there is much more to this. A Master of the stature of Jesus Christ could not have been a casual speaker. If whatever he said had to be the simple interpretations of how normal humans see it, then Jesus could have very well spoken that casually and in very simple words. Why did he use a language that seems coded or twisted or esoteric or metaphorical? That is what we need to ask if we truly wish to understand the great Master Jesus Christ.

It is very open now about the visitations of Jesus in many parts of the East, especially the Himalayas in India and Tibet. The Gospel of St. Thomas very clearly speak of those details that had remained hidden for centuries, unless this Gospel of St. Thomas was found, in which he has given a detailed journey of Jesus between the age of 12 and 28, which is a period which has no traces in the Bible.

Jesus, who had visited the Himalayas and learned and practiced many advanced processes with the Sages of the East, was known in India as Isanath, which also came to be prompted very among the Indian Christians as Yesunath. This transformed as a nickname in South India (Kerala) where he was lovingly called "Isho" and among the Tamilians as "Yesu".

It is this Yesu, that is speaking these esoteric terms which is very deep and profound and mystical. If you observe, all mystics speak this way, a language intertwined so well that the logic or casual minds cannot easily catch it. Why were these coded? Because the esoteric wisdom of the Mystics was so powerful that it could turn man to God. The Sages call this process as 'Self-Realisation" or "God-Realisation", where the human becomes so pure and divine, that none of the lower natures exist in him anymore and his purified form begins reflecting the God Consciousness which is also popularly termed as Christ Consciousness. Christ had achieved that God Consciousness, which is what is termed as Christ Consciousness. Christ then taught it to the common man, so that they also transcend their lower nature and rise to that stature, for this was salvation - liberation from the bondage of life and it's miseries.

So, with this background, it would be easier now to come to these precious words of Christ - "

Christ then taught it to the common man, so that they also transcend their lower nature and rise to that stature, for this was salvation - liberation from the bondage of life and it's miseries. This wisdom of ascending into higher consciousness and achieving God Consciousness had many sacred practices, which in the due course would bring in great powers to the practitioners. These powers are called as Ashta Siddhis in the Eastern Mysticism. So, the reason Mystics spoke of great truths in coded language was to avoid the wrong ones accessing these practices, as it gave them equal opportunities to misuse the great powers and bring in suffering for the self and others at large. Hence, all Mystics were careful not to divulge details in those days, for they knew that those whose consciousness would be elevated would decipher the hidden messages behind all such metaphors and receive the wisdom and grace of those words. The whole of Eastern Mysticism has always functioned this way.

So, with this background, it would be easier now to come to these precious words of Christ - "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."

The Sages and Mystics of the Himalayas practice various sacred practices to transmute the body, mind and intellect to higher states of consciousness and transform it's gross properties into purified subtle properties. It is important to remember that the more grosser, the lower the consciousness and the more subtler, the higher the consciousness. The lower consciousness of man reflects lower natures like ego, hate, selfishness, jealously, etc and higher consciousness of man reflects higher natures like unconditional love, acceptance, kindness, empathy, selflessness, etc. The sacred practices keep dissolving the lower natures and as one keeps purifying, it is a natural ability of man's consciousness to bring forth natural powers like intuition, telepathy, clairvoyance, levitation, etc. Further higher purification to attain a God-like state of consciousness starts manifesting even higher powers like teleportation, leaving the body at will, longevity for multiple times of the known mortal age of humans, mastery over nature's elements, etc, and so also attaining a celestial body, like attaining the "rainbow body: or "body of light". Christ had attained all these for he was in that state of God Consciousness, which is why he referred to himself as the Son of God, and also mentioned that through him (by achieving his state of Consciousness) one can reach his Father or God (like he did).

This body of light is what Jesus is referring to in this phrase - "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."

This state of "light body" has been achieved by many Mystics in the Eastern world, where the body becomes so transparent that it can disappear from human eyes, even though the soul would be present right there. This is how the phenomenon of ascension takes place, where Jesus finally ascended along with his body and disappeared into light. Such happenings have also happened in the latest centuries and even happens today! The only thing they are not much known is because these mystics are in such high elevated state of consciousness, where the ego and mind is completely dissolved that there is absolutely no desire to demonstrate anything or show or prove to anyone anything. They are usually far away from the crowd and living in isolation in the deep forests, mountains, caves or wilderness, just like even Jesus did. But in few certain cases, certain communities were fortunate enough to have a few mystics living with them while they had decided to ascend.

Is this real or superstition?

This has nothing to do with superstition or mysteries, but it remains a mystery because not much attention or awareness has been set on it. The process of the body turning its properties from gross to subtle is a very natural phenomenon, however, it is not easy to achieve it. It is not impossible but certainly not easy too. Not easy, because it requires complete dedication on the practice and more of all it needs one to have that intense desire to achieve the higher purity, for which one would need to give up a lot of binding lures of human life and dedicate to purification. It is total transcending of all lower qualities including even the slightest feeling of "I" ness (ego consciousness), with absolutely no trace of any atomic flaw too. Mystics spend even a whole lifetime in this process, which is why they are all known to have dropped all desires, materialistic and worldly affairs, body and race identity, and chosen to practice it in the wilderness far away from the lures and chaos of human lower states. Jesus too practiced this ways from age 12 to 28 in the Eastern zones and then once he achieved that stature of God-consciousness, he returned to where he was destined to do his divine mission.

To achieve this kind of a pure body, one needs to be having only and only loving thoughts and feelings - the feeling of unconditional love towards anything and everything, among other things of course.

How does it happen?

The normal human body has an anatomy, which is carbon based, at the cellular level. The process of purification begins turning it crystalline as it absorbs more and more light. To remind, light is the highest form of vibration. Everything in existence is made up of vibration. Science has well proved that everything is made up of atoms (within which move the electrons, protons and neutrons) moving at a certain rate of frequency. The number of atoms determine the rate of vibration which then in turn determines the shape of it. The build up or structure of atomic buildup is known as the atomic configuration. Thus change in atomic configuration changes its form. H is hydrogen. O is oxygen. Both gases. Changing the molecular configuration by adding 2 molecules of Hydrogen and 1 molecule of Oxygen (H20) the gas turns into water.

Similar is everything in creation that is made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms. It every molecule atoms are moving or vibrating at a certain rate thus at a certain frequency. That is why everything in existence is said to be made up of vibration. Now, lower the vibration, grosser the atomic configuration and thus grosser the form. But higher the vibration or frequency, the subtler it becomes. All this is very scientific and science does not deny this. This means that anything that is grosser or vibrating lower, if made to vibrate higher, it will begin becoming subtler. The highest form of vibration is light. This is precisely what happens when the body is purifying. Purification is simply transmuting lower qualities of human to higher and finest qualities. Changing from lower to higher vibration. When the body begins receiving higher energies or higher frequencies or higher vibrations or divine light the body is impacted at a cellular level. This is how the carbon-based bodies begin transforming into crystalline. Crystalline is light. So well the cellular structure of the whole body transmutes into light, what it looks like is a phenomenon of a gross body turning into light. This is how many divine Masters ascend after completing their work on earth. This is known to be the highest form of liberation.

The Yogis and Sages or Mystics of the East have a practice of inducing light into the body through the greatest receptor of light in the body known as the pineal gland. It's physical location is in the center of the brain right behind the center of the forehead. The gateway to the pineal gland is the third eye, which is metaphorically called an "EYE" because this is the window of the soul, through which the soul can see anything and everything that the physical eyes cannot see. However, this is not active in humans because of its grossness and lower tendencies that prevents the third eye to "show" anything of higher realities, until one is purified enough that the third eye opens. Logically, speaking the third eye is the intuition. When the third eye is fully awakened, psychic abilities are natural, like telepathy, wisdom of higher realms and revelations of higher truths through visions and enhanced intuitions, abilities of clairvoyance (seeing subtle things invisible to human eyes) and clairaudient (hearing subtle sounds inaudible to human ears), knowing of the past, present and future, etc. The third eye is also the center that draws divine light into the pineal gland from where it is distributed to the whole body through a sacred process of the Yogis.

Jesus had certainly achieved the Body of Light and even beyond....

That is what precisely Jesus is talking about in his statement - "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." Meaning, 'the light of the body is the eye' = the divine light in the body is through the eye. '...if therefore, thine eye be single...." meaning not two but single. Two is reference to the two physical eyes and single eye is referred to the third eye. So if the focus is on the third eye instead of the physical... because physical eyes can only see the gross, never the things of subtlety or purity. Hence, the attention and awareness has to be withdrawn from the physical limitations of the physical eyes and focussed on the third eye, a practice very prominent among the Yogis of the East. Importantly, the two physical eyes also represents dualities of the third dimensional world that we live in - day/night, man/woman, good/bad, happy/sad, and so on - the physical world is always functioning through these dualities, which man is constantly affected by. The process of withdrawing from the dualities and becoming aware of the third eye is nothing but becoming aware of the nondual aspects. When man sees anything through the two physical eyes, there has to be a reaction according to the nature of duality he holds in his nature. If he sees a good thing, he will be happy and if he sees a sad, he will become sad, thus being at the mercy of the 5 senses, one of which is the "sight" through eyes (the others are taste through tongue, smell through nose, hear through ears, touch through skin). But when "thine eye be single" or raised to the third eye, this eyes sees everything impartially and non-reactively, without judgement. It does not actually see but witnesses. Thus, it is free of all reactions, thus unaffected by what is going in the outside world of duality. So, when one lives life through the third eye of nonreactiveness one only becomes purely unconditional. This is a God quality. This is how the whole self begins transforming into divinity, into light. This also has a deeper reference to the sacred practice of the Mystics where they draw in light through the third eye and "supply" it to the rest of the body, thus illuminating it with light, precisely why if - "...thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."

The whole history of humans have recorded this among almost all sects or communities.

The Egyptians call the Light body – Merkaba – Mer (Light) Ka (Soul) Ba (Body) or "the luminous body or being."

Karast

There is mention of it in the Vedanta as “the superconductive body,” while the ancient Egyptians called it “” (akh) or the Karast.

Multitudes in Buddhist history have achieved this and they refer to it as "Rainbow Body". It is believed that once in every five years a Buddhist monk attains this state.

Multitudes of Mystics known as Siddhas all over India have achieved it and are still active in the these processes, with what is called attaining the "Divya Shareera" (divine body or bliss body).

Mahmoud Farshchian Iranمصغر

In Sufism, the Mystics known as Sufis or “Islamic Mystics” refer to it “the most sacred body” or the “supra celestial body.”

The Taoists call it “the diamond body,” and call the ones who have attained this state as “the immortals” or “the cloud walkers.

In the alchemical tradition, one can find in the Emerald Tablet the mention of it as “the golden body.”

In the Hermetic Corpus, it was referred to as “the immortal body.”

The followers of Mitra called it “the perfect body.”

i have deliberately posted these details to bring out the understanding that the possibility of ascension of the body into pure divine body of light is not an impossibility as it has been practised throughout all eras and though difficult, it was not an impossibility, which is evident from the thousands who have attained this state. So, what Jesus Christ mentioned was metaphorically pointing towards these truths in which he was pointing out to man what he himself had achieved. He taught these to share that these were possible by all. However, these details, if you observe, are not out in the open, and all these various communities or civilisations have always kept it a secret. Because of the possibility of misuse. So, when Jesus Christ speaks about it in a coded manner, it should not be a surprise for he too has taught many mystical teachings metaphorically, which can be easily understood only by those with a raised consciousness, thus ensuring the practices will be used only for the highest good of all.

Many Great enlightened beings have achieved the Light Body

  • In just India and Tibet and India, there are more than 160000 documented cases of Mystics, who managed to transform their physical body into a pure light body, after many years of spiritual practices.
  • Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was one of the great Mystics.
  • One of the well known Mystic with such a pure body was Swami Ramalinga. In 1874, Swami Ramalinga of Vadalur Tamil Nadu, bade his disciples, entered his room and vanished.  To read about our visits to his place please click here.
  • Sri Aurobindo, the great Mystic, who relentlessly worked in this direction, following the footsteps of Swami Ramalinga, but it is believed he was not able to complete the process. However, after he left the body, it is said to have turned golden.
  • There are scores of undocumented beings who could never documented. i have come across one such Mystic in Haryana, India, named Baba Kallinath who had vanished in his room centuries ago and while visiting this place, i had the blessed opportunity to come across his own second incarnation as any Mystic who is believed to be an immortal aged 425+ years. To read about my divine encounter with this immortal and this place click here.
  • Likewise there have been thousands of other immortals in India who have lived for even thousands of years and even known to leave body at will, leaving behind a purified body that never decays for decades to centuries. These are known as Jeeva Samadhis. This blog is full of many such mystics.

More on these, later. Do subscribe to the blog to receive updates on all the posts.
